The traditional start of summer, the Memorial Day picnic was a chance to gather together for good ole' fashioned barbeque and some fun in the sun.  Our Memorial Day picnic was held at Patton Park in Hendersonville this past May 26th.  Many of our members gathered for some good food, including good American favorites like BBQ, coleslaw, baked beans, burgers and hot dogs.  Then there was the Filipino food!  Pancit, lumpia, adobo, and kanin. 

Patton Park had many different activities available for our members, a nice swimming pool, a playground for the kids, tennis courts, and a basketball court.  Trinidad "Mamang Rice" Maghuyop won the 50/50 raffle, winning $75.00!   

The Memorial Day Picnic was a great way to kick start the summer season by gathering with good friends and good friends.  Thank you to all our members for coming and helping out!  A special thanks to Miradel and James Rogers for chairing this successful event!
